Her passion for Art and its power to create moods provoke opinions and produce reactions, is the design philosophy that Massachusetts based jewelry designer Gail Tannenbaum follows in creating her unique collection of jewelry. Preferring not to confine herself to one specific jewelry technique, Gail uses skills from all areas of her past art studies, allowing the materials and the world around her to inspire her final designs. Through the use of contrasting elements, the forces of texture, sound and juxtaposition are evident in her work. Necklaces beautifully weave together different materials into one piece: waxed cord, leather, silk are carefully knotted to ensnare sterling beads in thoughtful patterns, antique charms and one-of-a-kind artifacts of varying shapes, sizes and metals collected on her travels, team up with bright round and angular silver beads to balance the old with the new, a set of five perfectly balanced bracelets, gracefully fall together - occasionally mimicking the gentle sounds of a wind chime. As intended by the artist, Gail’s designs draw one’s attention to the similarities or differences between the elements.
“As I walk through my life I am inspired by the beauty in everyday things. Light reflecting off a puddle in the road, an ocean’s changing emotions, the sound of leaves touched by a breeze. These are the elements that move me to create,” says Gail.

the single wrap collection includes four uniquely designed bracelets woven with cotton, linen and/or leather. The beads used are a combination of sterling silver from around the world, some of which are hundreds of years old, collectible glass, african clay trading beads, czechoslovakian crystal, pearls and semi-precious stones. Buttons are carefully selected to compliment each piece through color, texture, weight of silver, and shape. These bracelets were designed to be worn either individually, or in tandem with other wraps in the collection, with other pieces in the line, as well as your own jewelry.
